Hi, I’m Sara.

In 2001, my son was diagnosed with autism.

My world turned upside down. Two years later, before I could catch my breath, he began having severe gastrointestinal issues. After seeing countless specialists and performing myriad tests — from colonoscopies to endoscopies to every allergy and blood test in between — doctors were unable to tell me the problem.

At that point, I took matters into my own hands.

I discharged him from the hospital and began with an elimination diet. Slowly, I began to see how his body reacted to each bite of food that he consumed. Through trial-and-error, I soon realized what his body could handle. Throughout the years, I have expanded my knowledge of nutrition and our body and have created diets and specific physical programs for friends and family.

In 2020, I finished my official training and became a certified health coach via the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). I am receiving additional training via the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy (FMCA).

After finishing my health coach studies, a close family member was diagnosed with cancer. Through his experience, I saw the lack of a holistic therapeutical approach to cancer patients. After educating him about the importance of nutrition while undergoing treatment and implementing changes in his diet, he saw minimal side effects during his treatment relative to expectations, along with a decrease in the aggressiveness of his cancer.

This experience has encouraged me to share my work with others in the hope that we can all optimize our health.
